{"id":3747,"date":"2021-01-14T12:03:29","date_gmt":"2021-01-14T12:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/well4africa.eu\/uncategorized-hu\/well4africa-fundraising-campaign-in-canada\/"},"modified":"2026-08-17T05:30:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T05:30:31","slug":"well4africa-fundraising-campaign-in-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/well4africa.eu\/hu\/newshu\/well4africa-fundraising-campaign-in-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cWell4Africa\u201d fundraising campaign in Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The social initiative \u201cWell4Africa\u201d is blessed to share a message which we believe will be a great testimony of the Franciscan spirit to the whole Order.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the beginning of 2020, the National JPIC Team of the Secular Franciscan Order in Canada decided to help our brothers and sisters in Africa by joining the CIOFS initiative led by the national fraternity of Lithuania. Even under the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic which made a mess of world economies, health services, and personal freedoms, the Secular Franciscans of Canada have showed their ability to contribute to this social initiative above anyone\u2019s expectations. The fundraising was intended for a particular Mutemwa water project at the leprosy care centre in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The campaign ended on 30 November and has raised CAD 20,740. On 4 January 2021, \u201cWell4Africa\u201d received the donation of EUR 12,822.67 for upcoming water projects.
